*Hand & Arm Massage
What is a Hand & Arm Massage?
A hand and arm massage is a therapeutic technique that involves applying pressure, kneading and gentle stretching to the muscles, joints and soft tissues of the hands, wrists, forearms and sometimes up to the elbow or shoulder.
It helps blood flow to the muscles and joints which is especially helpful for people who type, write or do repetitive tasks with their hands as it helps relieve tension. It can also help with conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis or muscle fatigue.
How does it work?
A hand and arm massage works by combining touch, pressure and movement to relax muscles, stimulate circulation and calm the nervous system.
The massage strokes warm up and loosen tight muscles in the forearm, wrist and hand. Kneading and pressure help release muscle knots caused by overuse (typing, lifting or gripping). Gentle stretches increase flexibility and prevent stiffness.
Massage improves blood flow to the area, delivering more oxygen and nutrients to the muscles and tissues. It also helps remove waste products (like lactic acid) that cause soreness. Better circulation can reduce swelling and speed up recovery.
Pressure on the hands stimulates nerve endings, which can calm the nervous system. It activates the body’s relaxation response (lowering stress hormones, slowing heart rate and deepening breathing). Some techniques target acupressure points that are believed to relieve headaches, anxiety or fatigue.
Gentle mobilisation of the wrist, fingers and elbow helps keep joints lubricated and flexible. Massage reduces stiffness in connective tissues (tendons, ligaments or fascia), making movement easier.
Touch therapy boosts endorphins and serotonin, thus improving mood. It creates a sense of comfort, grounding and relaxation.

Note Buffer Time
To help every appointment run smoothly, we include a small buffer around each treatment so the time length booked may be longer than the treatment time. This is to allow extra time for the completion of your consultation form, allow for any slight delays or natural treatment runover as well as preparing the room.Â
Our goal is simply to make your visit relaxed, unrushed and for you to enjoy the experience from start to finish. If you ever have any questions about timing or what to expect, we’re always happy to help.
Please Note:Â Those days marked with a line through them are for appointment only sessions, which can be booked if required, but will need to be booked by giving us a call.
