Brow Tinting
What is Brow Tinting?
Brow tinting is where a semi-permanent dye is applied to your eyebrows to enhance their colour, shape and definition. It helps to fill in sparse areas, darken lighter brows and generally create a fuller, more defined look. The tint usually lasts anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks, depending on your skin type, hair growth cycle and how well you care for it.
It’s a great option for those who have light or thin brows or want to add more contrast to their facial features without having to fill in their brows daily. The tinting is typically done using a dye specifically formulated for the skin and hair around the eyes, so it’s safe but it is still best to have it done by a professional to avoid any irritation or mistakes.
Please Note: You will need to come in at least 24 hours prior to your appointment to get a patch test if you do not we will unfortunately be unable to go ahead with the tinting at your appointed date and time.Â

How does it work?
Brow tinting works by using a special semi-permanent dye that is applied to both the hairs of your eyebrows and the skin beneath them. Here’s a breakdown of how it works:
- Colour Selection: The therapist will choose a tint colour that matches or enhances your natural brow colour. This can range from light brown to deep black, depending on your preferences and natural tones.
- Preparation: Before applying the tint, the therapist will clean the area around your brows to remove any oils, makeup or dirt. This ensures the dye adheres properly.
- Application: The tint is applied to your brows using a small brush or applicator. The therapist will usually coat both the brow hairs and the skin underneath, especially in areas where your brows might be sparse.
- Setting Time: The dye is left on for a few minutes, typically between 5 to 15 minutes, depending on how dark you want the tint to be. The longer it is left to develop, the darker the result will be.
- Removal: Once the tint has set, it is gently wiped off with a damp cotton wool pad. Any excess dye is removed, and the brows are shaped to perfection.
- Final Look: After the tint is removed, your brows should appear darker, fuller and more defined. The colour can last anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks, gradually fading as your brow hairs grow out and are replaced.
Because it’s a semi-permanent process, it’s a great option for people who want to enhance their natural brows without committing to daily makeup or more permanent options like microblading.

Our goal is simply to make your visit relaxed, unrushed and for you to enjoy the experience from start to finish. If you ever have any questions about timing or what to expect, we’re always happy to help.
