Nail Extensions Removal

What is a Nail Extension Removal?

A nail extension removal is the process of safely taking off artificial nail enhancements without damaging the natural nails underneath.

How does it work?

💅 When Should You Get Nail Extensions Removed?

  • The extensions are lifting, cracking or overgrown.
  • You want to take a break and let your natural nails out.
  • You’re switching to a different nail style or product.
  • It’s been 3–4 weeks without infills or proper upkeep.

🛠️ How Nail Extension Removal Works:

1. Filing Down the Top Layer:

  • The surface (polish, top coat) is gently filed or buffed to break the seal.

2. Soaking:

  • For acrylics or soak off gels, nails are wrapped in acetone soaked cotton and foil for about 15 minutes.
  • This softens the product for easy removal.

3. Gentle Removal:

  • The softened product is carefully pushed off using a cuticle pusher or orangewood stick.
  • No force or scraping should be used to avoid damaging the natural nail.

4. Nail Shaping and Buffing:

  • Natural nails are gently shaped and buffed to remove any leftover product.

5. Hydration:

  • A nourishing cuticle oil is applied to restore moisture.

Benefits:

  • Protects your natural nails from damage.
  • Prevents peeling, thinning or breakage of the gel.
  • Ensures any remaining product is completely and safely removed.
  • Allows your nails to recover and stay healthy.

Note Buffer Time

To help every appointment run smoothly, we include a small buffer around each treatment so the time length booked may be longer than the treatment time. This is to allow extra time for the completion of your consultation form, allow for any slight delays or natural treatment runover as well as preparing the room.

Our goal is simply to make your visit relaxed, unrushed and for you to enjoy the experience from start to finish. If you ever have any questions about timing or what to expect, we’re always happy to help.

Please Note: Those days marked with a line through them are for appointment only sessions, which can be booked if required, but will need to be booked by giving us a call.
