Drainage Back

What is Back Drainage?

Back drainage is a type of manual lymphatic drainage massage focused specifically on the back area. It uses slow, gentle, rhythmic strokes to stimulate the lymphatic system, encouraging the natural movement of lymph fluid to reduce toxins, relieve tension, and support overall wellness.

Unlike deep tissue or muscular massages, back drainage works on the surface of the skin, targeting the lymph vessels just beneath. It’s ideal for clients looking to detox, de-stress, or reduce fluid retention in the upper body.

How does it work?

A trained therapist will use a series of light, rhythmic movement, usually starting from the lower back and working upward, always directing fluid toward the lymph nodes (such as under the arms or around the spine).

The technique may be combined with dry brushing or gentle cupping for enhanced results, depending on the treatment goals and your skin’s needs.

🌸 Ideal For:

  • Clients with fluid retention or swelling in the back or shoulders.
  • After aesthetic treatments or surgeries (with medical clearance).
  • Individuals dealing with chronic back tension caused by stress.
  • As part of a detox program or full-body lymphatic massage series.
  • Bridal or event preparation to smooth skin and reduce inflammation.

Benefits:

  • Reduces back puffiness or swelling.
  • Boosts immune function by promoting lymph flow.
  • Relieves tension and promotes relaxation.
  • Supports post-surgical healing (e.g. after back or upper body procedures).
  • Improves skin clarity and tone on the back.
  • Encourages detoxification and circulation.

Note Buffer Time

To help every appointment run smoothly, we include a small buffer around each treatment so the time length booked may be longer than the treatment time. This is to allow extra time for the completion of your consultation form, allow for any slight delays or natural treatment runover as well as preparing the room.

Our goal is simply to make your visit relaxed, unrushed and for you to enjoy the experience from start to finish. If you ever have any questions about timing or what to expect, we’re always happy to help.

Please Note: Those days marked with a line through them are for appointment only sessions, which can be booked if required, but will need to be booked by giving us a call.Â
