Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are you able to remove gels/acrylics applied by another salon?

No, unfortunately this is sadly something we are unable to do. During my training at the beauty academy, I was advised this was something we should not perform due to the fact I am unaware of what the previous therapist has done to your nail prior to visiting our salon. Whilst it may look lovely on top I am unable to see under the gel and polish. If I then removed it and the nail has damaged underneath, your nails may not look appealing or healthy. Also I have a specific gel remover for the products I use therefore I would not know how they would react with other gels or acrylics.  As I strive to promote healthy nails I would not look to do this. However, treatments can still be provided but this would need to be removed prior to the treatment.

2. How do I schedule an appointment?

If you would like to schedule an appointment you can press the “Book Now” box on the bar at the top of the screen or we can book for you by giving us a call, emailing us or giving us a message on any of our social media platforms.

3. Can I book an appointment on Sunday as I work every other day?

Yes, we completely understand life is busy, which is why we allow booking by appointment on Sundays which you are able to do by giving us a call.

However, if for any reason we are booked up or you are unable to make any of the times given, we may in some cases have the ability, as a small family run business, to come in outside of the opening hours specified.

4. Are the beauty therapists specialised in a particular treatment?

As a newly formed salon, we have one dedicated beauty therapist, and her specialist areas are facial treatments and massage. However, she has extensive skills and knowledge of all treatments we offer.

5. What if I have special medical conditions?

When you arrive for your treatment, we ask you to complete a consultation form which includes any medical conditions or special requirements which the therapist would need to know to alter the treatment to your needs. However if you believe this condition may stop the treatment from going ahead please use the contact us form or phone us up and have a chat with a beautician who will more than happily discuss with you what your next steps are whether it is a doctors note, a delayed appointment or just an altered treatment. We are always more than happy to help.

6. What if I have lost my gift certificate/voucher?

Sadly, as we would not keep any records of gift vouchers that are purchased and who has them, we would not be able to fulfill this voucher. Therefore it is really important to keep your gift vouchers safe and treat it as you would with cash, cards or any other gift vouchers.

7. What if I′m late for my booked treatment?

We allow 15 minutes leeway as we understand traffic and issues can arise and empathise with this so we will try and be as flexible as possible. We may be able to reschedule or if no one is booked after you we will try to fit you in. However if we are unable to do this anything past 15 minutes late and this would unfortunately come out of your treatment time. If you then do not show up or rebook it will be treated as a same day cancellation and cancellation fees may apply.

8. Do you accept walk ins?

During our opening hours we happily welcome walk-ins. However, in order to manage and meet client expectations we recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred date and time.

9. Is this salon unisex?

Yes, Continuous Beauty welcomes clients of all genders. The salon is a friendly, inclusive space where everyone can feel comfortable, relaxed and well cared for.
