What is a Deluxe Back Foliation Massage?
In this deluxe treatment, your back, neck and shoulders are massaged all over to establish a relaxed feeling whilst also reducing tightness, improving mobility and reducing any feelings of stress.
After this we start massaging the gentle exfoliating scrub into the back area to remove any dead skin cells and encourage skin turnover.
It is then removed with hot towels to aid circulation, reduce muscle soreness and release any tension. We then finally spray a calming, revitalising mist which signals the end of the treatment is coming up while you remain in a relaxed state of mind.
How does it work?
Massage is believed to improve blood and lymph circulation as well as reducing tightness, improving flexibility and many more benefits. This is due partly to the physical manipulation of soft tissue and partly to the chemicals released as part of the relaxation response.
Exfoliation works by removing dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. This process helps to unclog pores, reduce dullness and promote new cell production, leading to brighter and healthier skin. As we age, the natural shedding of skin cells slows down, making exfoliation an important part of skincare to maintain a fresh appearance.
Heat from the hot towels causes the blood vessels to open wide (dilate). This brings more blood into the area to stimulate healing of damaged tissues. It has a direct soothing effect and helps to relieve pain and spasm. It can also ease stiffness.

To help every appointment run smoothly, we include a small buffer around each treatment so the time length booked may be longer than the treatment time. This is to allow extra time for the completion of your consultation form, allow for any slight delays or natural treatment runover as well as preparing the room.Â
